Does anyone remember when Trump met with the Russians for 3 hours by himself? They interrogated him for three hours as he gave away state secrets.

What a mental midget.

I swear I thought that Macron was going to pat Donnie on the head like a foolish child today in their interview.

I'm sitting in Europe where DH works for a NATO aligned US base and kids go to a NATO school. I can't articulate how infuriating and angry this makes me. No way I'm supporting pro-Russian policy.

Saudi oil and a 23 trillion dollar economy vs Russia will a 2 trillion dollar economy. How are the Russians going to fight EU when they can’t build tanks not even build tanks and fighters?

And currently are sending wounded soldiers to the front lines.

The Us is now aligned with Russia against Europe.

I hope our Fortune 500 companies are prepared for the ramifications of losing the European markets for their products and services.

This is so horrifying.

The GOP should really be dismantled if and when this is over. A new party should be started from scratch to replace it.

I'm not joking. I believe that is the Republican world view today.

Why would a “mafia crime syndicate” give a weak lame duck like Russia a sphere of influence? China is 10 x the strength of Russia, Europe is 12 x the strength and the US is 15 x. Let’s remember the European have been doing this for over 2,500 years. They will not lay down to Russia. Europe will easy kick Russia’s a$$. Also what about the Turks?

Why does everyone believe the Russians are a great power? They are the second strongest military in the Ukraine not the world. People have to stop with this fantasy.

Russia has lost a whole army in this war and are half way through their second one. They can’t build tanks or aircraft. They have lost somewhere between 350-850k killed. In Afghanistan over 10 years they lost 15k. We lost 50k in Vietnam.

So no answer? It is not the 1960’s anymore.

France and the UK have nuclear weapons. Sweden and Finland can go nuclear in weeks and will. Next up will be Poland and German.

But Great Britain has nuclear weapons. And the British Empire was far more important than the Soviet Empire. France also has nuclear weapons, and it too has a former empire that was much greater than the Russian empire. Both countries also have current GDPs that are bigger than Russia's, which has an economy that is smaller than Italy's. And of course, collectively Europe is many times stronger than Russia.

Unfortunately, Trump and Republicans look at the world like it's 1982. They think they are forging alliances with the Russia of Rocky III. For Republicans, Russia is the land of Dolph Lundgren. While Europe is just a bunch of surrender monkeys. There's no reasoning with Republicans. Their worldview really is shaped by 80s pop culture, which is what formed Trump.

Like we need Lithium?
The McDermitt Caldera, an ancient supervolcano straddling the Nevada-Oregon border, may hold the world’s largest lithium deposit ever discovered. With estimates ranging between 20 and 40 million metric tons, this find could be a game-changer for renewable energy, electric vehicles (EVs), and global supply chains. However, extracting this treasure buried in volcanic sediments comes with environmental, political, and ethical challenges.

Vast deposit of 'white gold' in Arkansas could be stunningly valuable
Arkansas may be home to a vast resource that could reshape the world's energy needs: a valuable battery component called lithium that's been nicknamed "white gold" and "the new gasoline."

It's an important discovery because renewable energy needs batteries and many batteries need lithium. But the resource is in short supply globally and especially in the United States.

A release this week from the U.S. Geological Survey suggests the U.S. might have all the lithium it needs in ancient brine which dates back to the Jurassic period and is buried deep below southern Arkansas.

There could be between 5 and 19 million tons of lithium buried there, enough to meet projected world demand for lithium car batteries nine times over, the USGS said in a statement.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2024/10/23/lithium-deposit-under-arkansas-could-fix-global-ev-battery-problem/75808246007/

Every time we turn around we are finding more and more lithium. Still why would Trump want lithium? He and republicans want to kill all EVs and batteries.

Trump has dementia and as such his understanding of the world is years behind. For example his understanding of solar power is straight out of the 1970s.
