How do people not understand that you can't have such a huge influx of people and no restraint on development in Florida without these ramifications? No, you can't close Florida to newcomers. You can curb developers from developing too quickly and too shabbily.

No, I got that. It just seems like such a dumb way to troll. I guess even though Trump has lowered the discourse to subterranean, I still don’t find a lot of joy in people joking about a situation in which we know people are going to die, and still the GOP will pretend that this has nothing to do with the warming oceans.

Absolutely. and then there is nothing to indicate that this type of event will not continue to occur. This was predicted and very little action has been taken to either try to stop the warming or to reengineer infrastructure to survive the new climate realities. The strategy seems to be just a chaotic retreat.

Florida's population is like 45:55 blue:red, but that's enough to keep the GOP in charge of the state, even when the major metro areas are blue.
