In September? Wow, that's 6 guys, at least, and none will get significant time against top line teams this spring. SJC gonna roll the DMV for 3 straight.

He's playing attack and I guess the towson commit goes to midfield. Maybe 2 27's get good playing time as juniors.
But well more than two 27's will have multiple D1 offers next September.
Calling BS on that prediction. If you are a 2027 at SJC that is unlikely to play until SR year then the likelihood of that player getting a legit offer as a junior is slim to none
I guess we will just have to wait and see, but more than two seems likely. And the two poles are a given.

Will any 27s will start there this year ?

The player can email the coach, send their highlight video and request a call to discuss if there's any opportunity or roster spot. They can ask the coach if it is worth them attending the prospect camp and they can also have their club coach call to gauge the level of interest before they pay a bunch of money to go to a prospect camp as a 2026. For a 2027 absolutely should be going to prospect camps of their target schools during the fall and winter to help them get on the radar.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:This would be few and far between. I would not go to any fall camps or showcases if you are 2026 without making sure your coach has made contact with the college coach to confirm serious interest. Players can now directly contact and call coaches too. Thinking you'll get noticed at a prospect camp as a 2026 is very unlikely! If you are 2026 do not go to any camp or showcase without confirming with the coaches or the coaches attending that they have serious interest so you're not wasting your time and money.Anonymous wrote:In my experience most of the better programs have few spots left and save them for surprise players who impress at fall camps, players who mature and emerge next summer and for top academic programs, a decent players with great academic credentials they pick up next summer to help the team average.
This is on point coaches rarely find talent at prospect days. They help pay assistant coaches.
This is true, but the key word is top. There are roughly 900 D1 roster spots per class (75 schools x 12) and according to Inside Lacrosse, only around 350 players have committed. The rosters are close to full at the top schools (Big 10, ACC, Ivy League), but a large number of D1 schools are just getting started.
Will this be the list for the DMV 26's? I would agree not many quality programs left and a few players left. Looks like NL and SJC have run away with the quality player commitments again. The club seems to be doing something correctly along with Speaks from SJC and Smith from GC. Looks like GZ and Bullis have nothing and GP seems to be quite as well.
How many are left to go this fall?
Heard from a few coaches that are taking smaller classes this year. Most won't be taking 12. The service.academies.are different.

There are always going to be a hella more privates around here because they're laser focused on doing just that. See: the argument going on whether SJC allows guys to play another sport.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Madlax 2026 - US Club Rank #67

I guess the *Public designation makes sense. Locally 26 verbals to top D1 and 1 is a public school recruit. I guess that tells parents of middle school and younger what it takes to get to a D1 program

With the stacked '26 lineup at SJC, they better not lose to any DC area teams. Speaks has built a power where classes from '27 and younger won't play until they are seniors.

Will the Towson commit like that? I"m not so sure that 27 is that much of an improvement.
