I think it’s really people with super clean kitchens and clutter-free counters who aren’t great cooks. I don’t care if you have a housekeeper; if you cook a lot, there are telltale signs.
Agree. Most of the posters who say otherwise claim they cook a lot or well, but hard to be pulling out the stand mixer or vitamix out that often or even basics like salt pig or olive oils out constantly.

Right now I don’t feel like I want to have a huge group of friends that I’m constantly socializing with. That’s a lot of work to keep up with and it feels really fleeting to me, even as I see so many people my age posting their nights out.
I would rather have a small group of more high quality friendships. I would rather socialize 1:1 or in a very small group than do a dinner with 10-plus people. I would rather Netflix and chill than go to a ball.

Not a huge difference (NP). I don't understand it either as it is a lot of money. You don't need to join a country club to engage in shared activities with friends.
Its just an expression. That poster doesn't literally mean they "don't understand." You don't need to EXPLAIN it to us.

It’s a big difference. And no you don’t. But in most places, it’s the only way to play a lot of golf and tennis. If you don’t enjoy those things then no, it’s not for you. I would never join a social club because I don’t enjoy parties and small talk. But I understand why other people might like that. It’s just not for me.

Nope. I hate clutter and I feel so happy when my kitchen is totally clean and the countertops almost cleared. I specifically built and organized cabinets (both lower and upper) to hold things that would be needed for cooking tons of dishes. I work from home so I am often making three meals a day, and that includes using the ovens, stove, griddle (part of the eight-burner stove), convection oven/air fryer, and grill (although that it outside). People regularly compliment my cooking and we host large parties with meals often. I love starting to cook and having a totally clean workspace. I don't need to leave spices out or have a cannister of utensils by the stove. I have no problem bringing appliances out as needed (and I have a ton of appliances). With the exception of the espresso machine and the convection over/air fryer, they all live in cabinets.
NP. I’m the same way as you! We cook 3 meals a day and have a gorgeous kitchen. For me, I need the countertops and island to be free of clutter and wiped down. When they are a mess, it gives me anxiety for some reason. I never made my bed and am not otherwise that great about home stuff, but i absolutely MUST have my countertops clear in the kitchen.

+2 to the expensive cars. I need gas mileage, a/c, and a radio with blue tooth and nothing else.
I also don't really need the high end clothing/bags. I have a few from years back and never use them. And honestly, the vintage bags I buy for a few bucks get way more positive comments than anything from Coach or Marc Jacobs or whatever.
