Just ED a top20 except HPYSM, you'll be fine, max rigor+ (past calc BC and physics C or if non-stem, APUSH, AP Lang/Lit)

Definitely true. And you see it in the high schools results. Outperforming w/admissions offers at private colleges and under performing with admissions at public colleges.

Our anec-data doesn't matter. As we saw on the endless "I'm worried" thread, not all 3.8s are the same. So who cares where a 3.8 at Philips Exeter or Choate Hall or Georgetown Day or Urban School SF or Menlo School or Brearley NYC or Riverdale Country NY got in if you go to a different type of high school.

GPAs are not an objective number except against classmates in the same school taking the same difficulty of courses.

Also, not all privates grade the same and not all publics grade the same.
