okay?
It is accurate that a driveby shooting with an automatic rifle only warrants an “okay?” in JLG’s Ward 4 in 2024. We’ll probably have three more by dinner time.
You know that at least 41 others agree with your crime hysteria, so I hope you find comfort in that

Deny, gaslight, minimize. Keep it up.
The data agrees. I don't think that I'm doing any of the above.
NP, show me the crime data, please!
You know and I both know the crime data, so this isn't some sort of gotcha. Our belifes dissect when you become convinced that the cause of crime is because of CM actions. I fundamentally disagree with that premise. I'm fortunate that the majority of people agree with me, as evidenced by the current trends in the campaign.
Yes, the people who donate to a campaign are the only ones who recognize that Ward 4 crime has skyrocketed and that specific Council policies contributed to this insane rise.
I disagree. I understand that some people feel that way, but I believe it is the cause of an echo chamber that people think that council policies are the cause of the current crime increase. We're allowed to disagree, though, so you are welcome to continue living your life and supporting your candidate!
I live in Ward 4, so to keep living my life is much less of a guarantee than it was 4 years ago.

Ward 4 contributors:
JLG: 284
Gore: 42
I think it's weird that the pro-JLG contingent on this thread has repeatedly accused people unimpressed with her of being a member of an opponent's staff, and then turn around and post things like this. Every accusation is a confession.
Besides, what this shows is that less than half of JLG's contributions even come from Ward 4 constituents. Is that a flex, because it seems like the opposite.
Gore's are only about half Ward 4 too though. The work that councilmembers do affects people outside their ward just as much, so I'm not sure it means anything. This is kind of a bummer. I hope Gore gains more momentum.
I don't expect Gore to win, but I hope she gets close enough to wake JLG up. She clearly needs to be pushed to respond to constituent concerns and she is definitely still projecting that she DGAF about crime (see: her "New Year's Resolution" email).
But I also expected Brandon Todd to win based on nothing but the name recognition that comes with incumbency, so maybe I'll be surprised.
