This is on top of the $5 million they awarded her earlier this year for sexual abuse, battery, and defamation, yes?

Answering this from the locked thread. Yes, this is on top of the earlier $5M but this was actually the first lawsuit, when he said things about her while he was President. That got hung up in appeals about presidential immunity so the trial of the second lawsuit, when he defamed her again after he wasn’t President anymore, actually went first. The trial that already happened also was amended to include the sexual assault charge because New York changed their state law. The Presidential immunity stuff is also why these ended up in federal court when it’s a state matter. And I think she has already sued him again for defamation in a third lawsuit because he can’t STFU.

Does anyone know whether he appeals this to the federal 2nd Circuit or whether it’s appealed to the next level of New York state court in that case?

Not dischargeable in bankruptcy and he has already submitted a sworn financial statement to the Court. If he claims bankruptcy, they have him for perjury.

If he wants to appeal, he has to submit the full amount to the Court as bond.
