And he can patently wait his turn. Personally, I really don’t see the value of yet another white man in the whitehouse, so I think Buttigieg is pointless after Joe. But he needs to wait.

And I wish Biden would speak to the need for that, and not tiptoe around it like they always end up doing. We’re talking about maybe 2-5% of the population. 15,000,000 people, tops. Probably less. There has to be some kind of solution for dealing with these people once and for all.

Buttigieg says lots of pretty words that amount to saying not much of anything.

So true. Did KJP work there too? But in truth, at least Pete says words. Half the time Biden is mumbling and trailing off and incoherent.

Break that jobs report down into part-time v. full-time, second- and third- jobs, and most importantly by industry

with the advent of AI we seriously need to look at UBI

The media is noticing his basement strategy.

The following editorial appears in The Washington Post:

President Biden hasn’t dropped the microphone; he appears to have lost it. Biden is turning into a news media evader, and it’s harmful to his presidency and the nation. In the past 100 years, only presidents Richard M. Nixon and Ronald Reagan averaged fewer news conferences than Biden. (A news conference involves the president taking questions from multiple reporters; a one-on-one interview with a handpicked journalist doesn’t count.)

So far in 2023, Biden has done zero solo news conferences. He did conduct two “joint news conferences” in which the president and a visiting foreign leader faced the media together. It should not take a visit from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau or South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol for the American public to hear the president answering urgent questions from a free press. Presidents also typically interact informally with the media, answering a few questions on the way to an event. Biden doesn’t do many of those exchanges either, according to the American Presidency Project tracker.

t happened again on Monday. Biden appeared alongside Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to brief reporters on new efforts to force airlines to compensate passengers when a flight is canceled. As soon as his remarks ended, Biden turned and walked off, ignoring questions from reporters. This comes after the president claimed Friday that he was doing a “major press conference” that evening. In reality, he was doing an MSNBC interview.

Taking questions from the media promotes public accountability. It also shows that the president is willing to defend his positions and instills confidence that he can do the job. It is widely known that Biden is gaffe-prone and that news conferences are not his forte. But as he runs for a second term, he should be eager to show he can handle all aspects of the job.

Pick up the microphone, Biden. The media is not your enemy.

They are being very selective about which press they allow into events now.
The NY Post reporter often asks questions about his son.
Keep in mind that Joe took ZERO questions after his short press event today.

That Washington Post poll is devastating for Biden and Harris. When 63 percent of voters believe that Biden does not have the mental acuity to be president all Republicans need to do is nominate a sentient human being and democrats lose. Fortunately for Democrats, whether Republicans are capable of nominating a functional, sane, normal human being is not at all clear. But Biden needs to be primaried by some other mainstream name candidate or two. Biden is not going to get sharper and healthier in the months ahead. And this country will explode if Trump becomes president again.

It's been 2 weeks since the announcement and only 2 staff named to the campaign. Als proclaimed they would release campaign donations within 48 hours of the April 25th notice... 336 hours later and crickets. What gives?
