I voted for Palmer but am not terribly disappointed in her loss. I wish someone more experienced had run against Mendo. But I also don't think he's so terrible. In any case, it was a straight head-to-head and she lost, it's hard to get too upset.

I am much more disappointed in the At-Large results. Lisa Gore and Nate Fleming split the opposition vote (27% and 26% respectively) and Bonds wins re-election with a pathetic 39%. This is, number one, perhaps the best possible argument in favor of ranked choice voting I've ever seen. And second, it's a huge loss for the city, most of whom wanted to replace Bonds, who is terrible (way, way worse than Mendo).

Well chair was the only two-way race. Both candidates will have more actual votes than candidates in other races because the votes are only split between two people. That is why we look at percentages. Are you truly this dense or just being purposefully misleading?

The funny thing about this race is that Mendelson didn’t even bother to campaign. Still won easily.

Phil campaigns all right, and never takes a race for granted. He just doesn’t do it on Instagram and TikTok.
