Of course not. This is fear mongering. And, we all know it.
He was tapes saying he would go on the offense about abortion if he wins and Rs get the House. He says he can’t speak freely about his plans now because he would alienate moderates. Other states led by Republicans are already scrambling to make a law just like Texas. That’s what Rs do — they write sample legislation nationally and push it to states. Youngkin supports trump and his election lies, supports DeSantis banning mask mandates and has stated he is against abortion and will go on the offense. Too dangerous for Virginia.
And, yet the current governor sees nothing wrong with late term abortion. Do you not support *ANY* restrictions on abortion? Do you not believe in science?
"The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. And then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” ~ Northam addressing loosening restrictions on late term abortion
And, mask mandates are proving they just don't work. Wear a mask if you want to. Mandating others to wear masks does nothing.

Virginians are not that stupid. The ones who are still part of the cult will kill themselves off from covid. More power to them, given they support Russia more than the US.

Who in their right mind think it is OK with deputizing citizens to be vigilantes, spying on neighbors? Texas make abortion of embryo past 6 week illegal. But other states may implement this law making illegal abortion for Down syndrome, fragile X, etc. This is setting a dangerous precedent and must not be given a foothold in VA. I lived in Berlin in the 90’s, this is straight up Stasi stuff.
Dems need to keep the majority or you may find yourself living in a authoritarian state.
Do you mean 30s?
Stasi was East Germany, big in 60’s. My point was that even as the Wall was coming down, people were afraid. My roommates boyfriend was
From East Germany. He had stories. Really, this law that outsources enforcement to citizens is horrific and should alarm all Americans.
Yeah. Sort of like the self-appointed neighborhood park police who loved to call the cops on kids not wearing masks when playing sports outside last summer. Is that what you're referring to, PP?
No. It’s really quite different. I’m not going to go back and explain to you what has already been explained of thread. But you know that already, don’t you?
DP here and I actually really do not understand the correlations you are trying to make at all. East German Stasi, Texas Republicans, and Virginia politics? None of these things have anything to do with each other in any way, shape or form.
There’s an election coming in Nov. a new Governor, will be elected. As, LT Gov, maybe AG and delegates. IF GOP were to regain control of VA government, the crazy GOP would implement their own version of what’s going on in Texas. And what’s going on in Texas is basically turning neighbors into snitches, a la Stasi.
