I am a D cup as an adult. For sports bras I just wear thinks like champion or Nike. Many d and up things marketed as sports pull over bras have annoying cups and hooks that don’t like either.

Make sure you are getting the right size, first. Fitting for larger sizes is tricky. I highly recommend the Reddit forum \abrathatfits. They have an excellent calculator, and lots of people happy to give advice on sizing, brands and styles for particular shapes and sizes, and accommodating unusual or special needs.

Victoria's secret has great products like backless bras, sport bras, stretch capris. Especially for the small waisted. Their staff however is horrendous--super catty and mean and will always suggest two sizes off. It appears out of jealousy because there aren't thin or developed so they'll lie and make snarky comments when the size is off that you need to pad. Viscous looks and horrible service are given when the correct size looks awesome.

NP here. I have had to do this many times, when the bra is complicated and I just couldn't get it to hook and during the time when I had a broken wrist and only had one good hand to use.

No I don't have a problem with it, in fact I'm the one who suggested it. I'm just responding to the person who wondered if anyone clasped in the back. Both are fine!!

Yes? I've never clasped them in the front first.

I injured my shoulder recently and have been unable to turn my arm to do the hooks behind my back. It's the first time in 30 years that I've had to clasp in the front and turn it around, and I HATE it. I'm looking into front claps or having my husband hook them for me to avoid having to spin a well-fitting band around on my skin. Really dislike the feeling.

I outgrew one-hook bras very quickly and am now in 3-4 hook bras, and if I could get my shoulder to cooperate, I'd always back-hook.

I think PP's point is that VS doesn't do a very good job with fittings. I would not recommend them to determine one's true size - it's possible to get someone who knows what they're doing, but it's not that common. Also, the only go up to DD, so if you aren't in their size range, they will give you a bigger band size with their max cup as your "fit" when wearing too big a band and too small a cup is the most common bra fit problem there is.

I've been fitted at Nordstrom twice, and they did a great job - made a huge difference to be wearing the right size. I went from a 36DD to a 34H and am much more comfortable.

I will also recommend Natori - those are my favorites.

Aerie! They make d-cup versions of their bralettes and even show them on d-cup, non-model bodies. Also recommend Athleta for d-cup pullover sports bras and long-line yoga-type bras.

This is only valid if it is the same brand. And don’t be one of those people that takes the free measuring service of a store and then goes and buys online. That is trashy. At least buy one or two bras from the store. They made an investment in you, you can return the favor.

after getting her measured in the store FIRST, try amazon. was very suprised that the bras on amazon are comfortable and fit.
plus you can return them if its not the wrong size so its an win win situation.
