Same! I get a full report on who wet their pants and who cried.

My kindergartner came home from her first day and had a sticker on her shirt. I asked where she for the sticker, she glanced dismissively, “oh I was good or something.”

She sounded so much like a teenager I couldn’t help laughing.

My teacher made me sit in a room by myself and watch movies about wolves.

I was shocked since he’s cried every morning and told me he didn’t like school. So I said, “Really?! That’s the first time you ever said that!” And he replied, “I didn’t say it. Teacher said we play and have fun at school.”

That's a bit sad.

I don’t think so! Not at all.

This is a fun thread, PP. Why write anything to make a parent feel bad? You’re a jerk.

My daughter started her first day of Spanish immersion preschool so I was prepared for some anxiety or confusion (we don't speak Spanish at home).
So at dinner I ask her, "So, the teachers spoke Spanish, could you understand anything? Or, it's okay, if you didn't understand, you'll start to understand,"
She replies excitedly, "No, I understood!! They said it six times. Then I said it. They said, "Hola," and I said, "Hola." They said, "Gracios," [her funny pronunciation] and I said, "Gracios!"

I was so surprised. She's just taking it all in stride!

Also got a very odd response on lunch. She ate whatever they provided but she listed off things we have at home which I am pretty sure weren't at school.

+1. This is also the response to more specific questions, ie. "What did you do today that was the most fun? The most boring?" Everything is nothing.

Had the exact same conversation at dinner today. Mine is six so the answer was "Nothing, which is everything, so nothing. 100 minus 100." (Ah so you did some subtracting? "No we didn't!")
