The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in an Aug. 11 holdup at an ATM machine in CountrySide.
Hameedullah Sadr, 20, of Sterling, is charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
According to the report, the victim was using the Bank of America ATM around 9:15 p.m. Aug. 11 when he was approached by a male suspect who brandished a firearm and demanded money. He fled in car with an accomplice. The Sheriff’s Office continues to seek the identity of the second suspect involved in the robbery.

I'd be less scared than being bound and put in a trunk in DC. Are you freaking kidding me?
I notice the perp in Loudoun was an AU student as well

One day while drinking my morning coffee I looked out the window into the alley and saw a guy (definitely not an AU student) helping himself to my car stereo. I grabbed a baseball bat and gave him some Jersey justice. He ran off but I called the police who caught him a few blocks away. The police said I was crazy for fighting back but admitted that the criminals all think we are all bunch of white collar wimps and if more people fought back there would be exponentially less crime. I now have a CCP and carry every day.

A perp today will already have his gun out and pointed at you before you can even reach for your concealed gun, much less pull it out.
Bonus for him: He can steal your gun too. One more gun on the streets.
But at least you're showing us you're not a "white collar wimp"!

Have you ever studied martial arts?
Have you ever had defensive firearm training?
Do you know what situational awareness means?
Are you aware that criminal attacks follow predictable patterns and involve predictable cues?
Do you know what the OODA loop is?
It is possible for an armed intended victim to defend themself against criminal assault.
you better be correct, or you're spending the rest of your life behind bars. There are no stand your ground laws here or shifting elements that make it easing to get away. If you are wrong, you are either a murderer or an attempted murderer

Racism? Article never mentioned the race of the perpetrators.
Just as likely to be AU or Georgetown kids (of any race) who need beer money for the weekend.

No, they hurt some of the victims. Burned one with a lighter, and hit and kicked another according to this news report:
