I have Hashimotos, have gone through menopause, have joint issues, and have ended up with a similar body, even though I was naturally thin until my mid 20s.
Right. But, her body isn’t the issue. The issue is how she dresses and flaunts herself on social media.
Did you see the Instagram post where she’s wearing a lavender top in a cafe and her chest is spilling over and her shoulders are bare? Or the lingerie shots? It’s weird.
And I am 54 and fat, and wear low cut tops in the summer because I am burning up and having hot flashes and sweating everywhere. So, I don't look like different from her.
I'm not posting that on social media, but I am also not a celebrity. Again, has nothing to do with her body, and no one is required to subscribe to her social media. Again, I don't like her, so don't subscribe or really care, but I think she has the right to show her body and post what it actually looks like, if she wants to. Fat people and people with problems have the right to flaunt their body if they want to.

Agree. Everything seems the same with her. I hate people who never miss an opportunity to remind us how they have some illness.
I’m no Lena Dunham fan, but your “illness” post is is pretty ignorant. I’m going to guess you do NOT have “some illness”.
DP but why is it ignorant to say that you dislike someone constantly posting about their illness for attention? Posting about something for attention vs. awareness are two very different things. Selma Blair is a good example of someone who handles this well.

Anonymous wrote:There is a whole subculture of young women who seem to revel in their illnesses. They often call themselves spoonies and blog on Tumblr. There are a few pretty predictable diseases they have, mostly self-diagnosed, like fibromyalgia, mast cell syndrome, myalgic encephalitis, and Ehlers Danlos.
Count me skeptical.

Yes and no.
It’s mean to comment on someone who isn’t a celebrity capitalizing on fame.
Lena puts herself out there, and sadly she puts herself out there in low-cut, hypersexualized ill-fitting clothing.
If she covered her cleavage and dressed appropriately for her body and age then there wouldn’t be a problem.
Her Instagram pics are befuddling. Does she think that purple top at LRB looks good? She looks half-naked.
