No. At first they didn't know he was going in there (he was able to get in through a window) but when they found out they were surprised but very welcoming. He offered to give them a large amount of older clothes or to buy them a reasonable amount of new ones, but they said it was not necessary. They do a lot of singing together but I don't feel it is a soulmate type situation.

Ok…wut? This deserves its own post. Please.

We do this, but we WAH together and have tons of “us” time while the kids are at school. Not sure it would work if we were apart during the days too.

My grandparents slept in separate rooms, they just slept better that way. And I think some people still do today.

My issue was my DH moving around too much and waking me up. We solved it by getting a split king mattress. It’s like two XL twin beds next to each other. I have my own sheets and blanket— it’s heaven!

My DH hit 50 and started randomly farting in his sleep.

I sleep sooo well when my husband is away or I go to the guest room where we have a TV, but I still prefer having a bedroom that is "ours".

Sleep together Fri& Sat. A lot of duel income couples sleep separately Sun-Thurs but hold each other 10 minutes before bed/give a kiss/give a tender look to check in if sick. Thought it was pretty normal. OP, why on earth does it matter once you are asleep? If your couch has good back support, go for it!

My DH and I sleep together about 50% of the time and separately about 50% of the time. I like our balance but I will say if we go too many nights sleeping separately in a row I definitely think we start to feel disconnected.

I would have my own room if my husband did all of that.

Heck, they often slept in the same room as their kids/

I like sharing a room with my DH. Especially now that we are parents. It's the only space in the house that is "ours" and not shared with our kids. We talk about moving to a bigger home so that we could each also have a space that is "mine" and "his", but we'd still want the space that is "ours". I'd love a little office, and he'd love a workroom. But I like sleeping next to him at night and waking up next to him in the morning. And yeah, it's also more convenient for sex because it can be more spontaneous (just kidding, we have small children, so it's never spontaneous anymore, but maybe someday...).

If my husband turned on the TV or the lights (so he could...color?) while I was trying to sleep he would find himself on the couch FAST.

He is welcome to stay up later than I do (and does), but not in the bedroom. That is totally unreasonable
