We do plan to give gifts on major milestones- a watch for graduation, diamond earrings for 18, but the smaller stuff is gone.
Those aren't gifts. Just say no gifts for birthdays. I don't get that.
Every party we go to has gifts. I don't get parents who refuse gifts for their kids. If your kids have too much stuff cut back what you buy.
