Rove Concept
Room and Board
CB2
Castlery
West Elm
Article.com
Joybird
France & Son
Serena & Lily / Georgia & Lulu for the occasional piece (since they're expensive)
Anthropologie and World Market for home decor

Regarding Redbird Redesign, I checked out their website... the photos are great, but the style veers far more traditional than we are after. We are quite a bit harder on the contemporary side of things.
While I suggested above that an interior designer/decorator might not be for us, does anyone have a ballpark of the cost you'd expect for a decorator to help with an approx. 5k sq ft house? If someone could really help us make this process easier--and point us in the right direction--that could be well worth it. But I don't know where to look. Has anyone had good experiences with someone on the more contemporary side of things?

What is the relatively quality of Room & Board and Mitchell Gold? For Greenfront, do they have a large selection in NOVA? (Heading to NC may be a bit more than we can handle for this!)
I'd love it if someone could come to our new house, see the style and the rooms for which we need furniture, and help us with selections. I imagine, though, that an independent designer/decorator may be out of reach for us.
Decorator will do that and will probably suggest custom everything.
Not necessarily - I pay someone $90 and hour to pick out stuff for me and she recommends things in my price range.
Anonymous wrote:Thanks, I will check out the sofas. I have to try out a sofa to buy it. What upholstery did you buy? Any sofas you suggest?

MGBW on 14th Street: https://www.mgbwhome.com/Washington-DC-Signature-Store.html

Mitchell Gold has better-quality upholstery in my experience, though at a cost, and Room & Board has a much bigger selection of case goods, much of it of really good quality. MG has very little wood furniture apart from a few end tables, and not much stylistic range. I have a house full of MG upholstery and R&B bookcases and am very happy!
