I’m sure they could adjust to your style but I also think you should try the in house designers at MGBW and Room & Board.

That’s amazing! Can you share their info? We were working with a designer but the whole process was pricey and we didn’t always like her recommendations. I have an idea of what I want but would like the confirmation of yes - that works design wise or not and where to buy. Would love to work with someone hourly

My MG sofa is 20+ years old and not a current style, but I recently bought a Cara chair, which I love. I'd just try everything out for proportions and style that work for you. Much of what they sell tends towards the oversized, which is one downside, but it sounds like you're moving to a bigger space so that could work.

Mitchell Gold has better-quality upholstery in my experience, though at a cost, and Room & Board has a much bigger selection of case goods, much of it of really good quality. MG has very little wood furniture apart from a few end tables, and not much stylistic range. I have a house full of MG upholstery and R&B bookcases and am very happy!

Mitchell Gold has better-quality upholstery in my experience, though at a cost, and Room & Board has a much bigger selection of case goods, much of it of really good quality. I used Havenly to help me get started in a few totally empty rooms and really liked how it helped me get thinking of things and gave me product links. I'm not going to use everything they suggested, but I'll definitely do some of it.

I think they may be a really good option for you based on your price range and what you’re looking for. They’ve put together floor plans and furniture selections for four rooms in my house now and we’ve had a good experience. They are more expensive than an hourly consultant but WAY cheaper than a full service interior designer.
