Most posts in this forum are all about the person posting it.
I’ll be honest, if I didn’t know my sister was dating someone for six months (male or female) but everyone else knew, I’d be a bit bewildered and wondering if I did something wrong. But we have a fairly close family dynamic overall, so generally news is shared with everyone, not necessarily the same day but not months apart either.

Oh, and this has nothing to do with you. She’s an adult, and dating someone. This is not really noteworthy unless your family has some kind of weird collective approvals process.
Agree with the bolded above. Coming out is a personal thing for each person however, and they should be able to do it in the way they want. Whether they choose for it to be a big announcement, a private conversation with their parents, or a NBD just another relationship. No one else should dictate or have a say on how they choose to do it.
