I’m 5”3 and when I was cute and dating in my early twenties, I never had an issue. I mostly dated taller guys but had flexibility dating shorter guys too, without feeling insecure about towering over them.

Um, what? First, nervous and worried are synonyms. Second, you really think relative height has any bearing on the likelihood of assault, etc.? That sounds crazy to me, but if you think there should be comments about it, feel free to make them yourself.

All, OP didn't say she was worried about not getting a date. She said she was nervous. Maybe add some comments about date rape/assault, control/coercion, retaliation/revenge, etc. Things a small person has to worry about against a 5'6" man, but a women of 5'9" wouldn't.

Why would they be insecure just because they like short women? My DH is 6'2; I'm 4'11. He is not insecure, and I have a very assertive pesonality. We make the same amount, and in some things, I'm smarter than he is.

6'2" guy here DW is 5'8" only dated one girl under 5'4 that was just the way it worked out. 20+ years with a taller woman I would still seek that but wouldn't have cared if she was short.

But so is tall and fat.


Tall women carry the weight better in old age. Short women turn into weebles when they get fat in old age.

Statistically speaking, in the US, women 5'4'-5'5" and men 5'9-5'10" is the norm.

As a relatively short guy, 5'7", I will say that the closer a girl is to your height, the better the mechanics work. While you may like taller dudes, sometimes being very close in height has some advantages.

All my 5'2" friends are married and never had trouble getting dates. I like with men , short stature is t really a dating deal breaker for women.

i'm 6'3 and wife is 5'1. She wishes she is 5'1. Every now and then I notice just how much shorter she is. It is what it is, doesn't really factor anywhere. We've been married 16 years and have 3 kids and have a good life. Actually, I get in trouble for having some things put up so high in places...

6’2” guy here - I love short women. Just makes them even sexier somehow. Short women seem to give better hugs too.
