I just run them around as much as possible. Preferably on long runs, but sometimes just with playground equipment or walks or bike rides. Some days it helps get them to bed earlier. But other days is like they signed a pact to not go to bed and they're up till 10 or 11. But I will say that chasing them around helps me get my steps and stay in shape.

3 and almost 7. Small house, no yard. I banish them to the older one's room when they are too loud because he actually cares about his stuff and will somewhat regulate the destruction. Otherwise, we are outside as much of the day as possible and we walk EVERYWHERE.

There's nothing to do. The energy level is insane. My friends with girls set their table with real dishes every night

Yes. 3 boys here, and it drives me bonkers. I give them yard work assignments, other outside chores, and other creative things. They have to run from one fence to another X times if I notice their energy levels rising. I'm about to get some big balls for them to sit on while they watch their one tv show today just to have another physical outlet. I had a pre-determined training regime for each kid for them to do - X burpees, X jumping jacks, etc - They love it. We call it training camp. They now have fitbits, and they try to see how many steps they can get. Now that sports are picking back up, I'll put them in rec sports. The most tired I got them was during swim team season + camp - swim practice in the morning, camp for 9 hours (which included 2 hours of swim) and then swim practice that night (they chose to do it, I didn't make them do so much practice!). Then, and only then, did I succeeed in tiring them out.

I had one child like this and the only solution was to get up early and take them out to the park and run it out. Then home for lunch and a rest. Then repeat. It's normal for your kids to have lots of energy and not normal for you to force them to not expend it by "talking to them" or imposing quiet time.
