Meghan (I know two of these, both sets of parents wanted to name their kid Megha, but for obvious reasons added the N on the end to mainstream it)
Isha (pronounced ee-sha)
Ishani
Anya (so many Anyas)
Mira (so many Miras)
Jayna
Sia
Gia/Jiya
Priya (lots of "iya" names)
Sarina/Serena
Raina/Reyna
Asha (my mom said "this is an old lady name" the first time she heard of a baby named Asha, LOL, but it's so easy to pronounce!)
Tara (but be prepared that no one will pronounce it the right way, it will be tah-rah or terra)

And then I've heard a lot of "well, this maybe sounds vaguely Indian" names like Lily, Sara, Samantha, Natasha, Gina, etc.

How is Tara supposed to be pronounced?

Thah-ruh, but that "th" sound is not like the/there/that, it doesn't really exist in English so most people don't get it right.

OP, some of the name people have posted are AWFUL, I'm embarrassed for them.

Oh, so if you're not white, you are only supposed to ask family and family friends for name suggestions? Racist a-hole.

So all the other people on DCUM that ask about baby names should also just be asking mom and aunts too, right?

Or you just take issue with a person of Indian origin doing so?

Here’s a list of some more modern girl names.

A lot of the names posted are older names, but they are good too!
