I despise athleisure. I wear whatever I would normally wear that day. This time of year probably shorts and a cute top, or a dress, plus some type of cardigan or light jacket.

Depends on how long the flight is. Long haul flights align leggings and layers on top.

Nope, it's a personality thing. I am someone who gets really into travel strategies and I travel a lot. I love talking about travel wardrobes, how best to game security, how to get comfortable on a plane, best luggage, etc. It's almost a video game mentality. I'm always trying to become more expert at traveling and love getting tips and tricks from others.

I can’t stand people like you. Why do you make something simple more difficult than it is? I travel frequently, it isn’t rocket science.

Athleta or Lulu type studio pants with pockets, t-shirt, hoodie and sneakers. Got to be comfortable and covered. I'm always cold on the plane.

When I traveled for work a lot and had to go straight to meetings, I wore stretchy ponte pants, a shell and a big cardigan and a bare face. Wet hair from shower up loosely in a clip (don’t worry by the time I got on the plane it was all but dry). During the flight, I would put my face in my hands to sleep. When I got there, I would go into the family bathroom if available, change my top, curl my hair and put on makeup and jewelry.

The only flights I go on are between 9 and 14 hours long, so at this point I wear my most comfortable pair of pants and a soft long sleeve shirt. On the extremely rare occasion that I am in first, I wear something nicer and change into the jammies they give out.
If I do fly within the US, I wear a comfortable pair of jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
I also bring on a sweater.

Leggings or joggers.
Cotton tee or tank.
Knit motorcycle jacket (I like that it's a bit more structured than a cardigan, and that I can zip it all the way up).
Oversized scarf that can double as a blanket if needed.
Sandals (Birks or Sorels) but I always bring a pair of cozy socks in my carry on and will usually slip them on before I board the plane.

I know people are weird about people going shoeless on planes, but I think this is a bit precious. I dress so that I can slip my shoes off but still have my feet covered in clean socks. If you take a lot of redoes or travel overseas a lot, the idea of keeping your shoes on for an entire flight is silly. Though a quick flight (<2 hours) I probably would just wear my shoes the whole time. I think the real issues is when people who have had their feet sweating in sneakers or dress shoes all day then remove them -- that is kind of gross and unsanitary. But that's why I rarely wear heavy closed toed shoes when I travel, unless I'm going somewhere very cold. Even when I used to have to fly a very cold region for work a lot, I'd change into sandals once at the airport to travel home. I just think it's healthier for your feet to be able to breathe a bit.
