Saint Stephens brings back virtually their entire team. The Saints will contend with Georgetown Prep and Landon for the IAC banner next spring.

Bullis graduates a ton. Unless they bring in a bunch of transfers this summer, I see them taking a big step back next Spring. With the DC Express guys now at Prep, I fully expect them to bring in some transfers this off-season

Bullis 23’ class is filthy. 4 NL kids who will all play top DI ball. Their goalie will be just a sophomore, but he’s extremely talented and hard working. IAC will be far mor interesting than WCAC.

WCAC will be dominated by SJC with Gonzaga, PVI, DeMatha, and Heights competing for spots 2-5.

IAC could be won by Prep, Bullis, or Landon. All three of these teams are relatively even in talent.

So no dispute WCAC will be better than IAC. DeMatha is x factor as they are losing so many kids. PVI is good at 22/23. Gonzaga won't be great but still very competitive. And SJC gets everyone back. Rest of conference will be interesting as teams 6-9 would get smoked by Yorktown and Robinson. DJO struggled against the 2nd Yorktown team at Fierce Nation this Winter. For the IAC: SSSAS, Episcopal, and STA aren't great. Bullis is going to fall off a cliff and they couldn't score with their vaunted 2021 class. The Penn State commits on Bullis are not D1 players. So it looks like IAC is Landon/Prep battle unless we see a bunch of transfers. Prep, Bullis, PVI, and DeMatha are playing in Red Session (6/22-6/23) of NHSLS. GZ, Landon, STA, Episcopal, SSSAS, and SJC are playing in White Session (6/24-6/25) . Will be a glimpse for next year.

Bullis is not done. Bellistri is prob one of the better coaches in the IAC. As long as Bellistri stays, Bullis will still be able to compete with the top. Landon went internal with their new coach and brings back a core nucleus of starters next year as did Saint Stephens. The top 4 teams in the IAC will remain the same but GP will not be nearly as strong as they were this Spring with the departure of their 2021 senior class.

JV success doesn't really equate to future success of the varsity level. For starters, GP has always had a very strong JV program because the school is massive and has the numbers. I'm pretty sure their JV still allows juniors to play JV. Most co-ed schools in the IAC have never fielded strong JV teams because any potential strong 9th grader or 10th grader is pulled up to the varsity level. Heck even STA has a strong JV program but their varsity program still stinks. In the WCAC, SJC has a pretty ordinary JV program but their varsity team is clearly the cream of the crop.

The person probably meant 2018. They were actually pretty good then, and did achieve that feat of just WCAC loses to Zaga and SJC (by one).

The question for WCAC is how far Gonzaga will fall. At best they finish 3rd behind SJC and PVI and at worst they finish 4th behind DeMatha. Not a chance Heights finishes 4th. They’ve never even finished in the top 6 and they just lost their coach.

Heights finished 5th this year, and beat every WCAC team in 2019 besides Gonzaga and SJC (who they played to one goal).

DMitch also didn’t just dump the program. My son plays club ball for him, no chance he would just leave the program that gave him his business u less it was in good hands -which it is with his brother BOH-

Will Heights come in 4th? Probably not, but there is a decent chance. They have the best Goalie in the WCAC who is a senior.

I think the whole reason why the person out Heights above DeMatha is because DM is graduating so much. 10/11 starters graduated. DeMatha will bring in some transfers, but it won’t be enough to overpower SJC, who will dominate the WCAC.
