I always ate cabbage soup a restaurant in Macomb County, Michigan (Andrea’s Garden), but I’m thinking (based on my memories) this would get the job done:

Had no idea it was the basis of a diet!

I actually have started to crave healthier food. Smoothie every morning with spinach, frozen cherries, ground flax, cinnamon, almond milk and protein powder. Arugula with roasted salmon, brown rice cakes with hummus and avocado, honeycrisp apples.

Beef. Roast beef if I’m feeling fine, a steak after a migraine.

A harvest salad with roasted root vegetables and all the fixings: dried cranberries, pumpkin seeds, tahini dressing, etc.

No cheese or meats added.

JLD is such a master. She makes ordering a salad so funny we are remembering it 20 years later.

lmao baby carrots with my lunch

Lol I could have written this! I don't like dealing with veggies so baby carrots and grape tomatoes are the way to go. I'm just not inclined to eat veggies unless someone else prepares them and sticks them in front of me.

My other go-to is oatmeal and fresh berries, which I've had pretty much every morning for 7 months (and which has been dubbed on DCUM as "dessert for breakfast"" and "way too much sugar" even though I add exactly 1/4 tsp of raw sugar and that is the only sugar I add to anything that I eat or drink in a given day).

Buckwheat, kale, barley porridge, blueberries and raspberries.
Cucumbers, tomatoes, beets, rutabaga, radish. I love veggies and fruits- they were hard to get in 60 degrees north.

Quinoa.

I had a somewhat indulgent weekend. For lunch today, I had some quinoa, cucumber, roasted red peppers and feta. Perfect!
