5 hours at $30/hour isn't an overnight. Neither is 6 hours at $25.

Not a good sign - she may be interviewing.
Have a calm conversation about why you cannot be flexible and need child care at the agreed time every day. Tell her that at your jobs you cannot back out of meetings last minute or stop working at 4 pm just because. Say that you have very rigid bosses who would not allow schedule changes unless an absolute emergency, so you have no choice but to follow your workplace schedules. Tell her you count on her to be on time. Ask if there is anything she feels may be in the way of her being on time. See what comes up and how she handles it.

1.5-2 hours is a lot. I've tolerated 10 min here and there, but for leaving early I would request notice way, way in advance.

If you pay your nanny enough to live on, she won’t have to get a second job or babysit to supplement her income. I don’t think it’s addiction, I think it’s a ‘poor problem’ that families simply can’t understand. Maybe she was late because had to borrow money for gas or her car broke down. I’m guessing she left early because she got asked to babysit in the evening and couldn’t afford to pass up the hours. Even now with my current job, if someone asks me to babysit at night and I can make $150, I’m leaving early. My bosses are working from home and me leaving 15-20 mins early right now is nothing for them, but it’s a lot for me. The kids are school aged and older, so I just make sure everyone is showered and I make dinner for the family, clean up, and then leave.

Your situation means that you're not a good fit for a family who needs someone the whole time. The same holds true for OP's situation.

Nanny ^^ Just wanted to also mention that I don’t have a ‘set’ time to leave, it’s usually just when the parents take over or dinner is ready. When I know I am babysitting after work, I just make sure dinner is done and I’m out the door on time. I would never accept a job at 4:30pm but I regularly accept jobs that start at 6:30/7pm so I can make sure I’m out of work ‘early’.
