If you work then you can take the kids to pool to swim for a bit, have dinner, and swim again
my kid usually in bed at 8. So if I go to the pool in the afternoon I would rather have more time at the pool and eat there then just go home and start shower, bedtime etc. when we take dinner out I usually put it together at lunch so there’s only one clean up. It’s just easier and more convenient to eat out but I don’t want her eating crap that often.Anonymous wrote:Is it normal to not go home for dinner?

We grill or order takeout to be delivered.
Sorry you don’t know how to pack food properly![]()
Sorry you don’t know how to cook for your family properly. 😀

Or make tomato, avocado , shrimp with lime juice and cilantro, put into warm flour tortillas (warm them in foil until right before leaving, throw them into a thermal lunch bag).
Those are my favorites.
This is nicer than what I eat at home.

Anonymous wrote:If not grilling, we like cold dinners at the pool like:
pasta salads (with cheese, pepperoni, etc)
charcuterie/cheese/fruit boards
cold subs
tortillas, sliced chicken, shredded cheese, black beans, guacamole cups (my kids call these "pool fajitas")
empanadas
sushi (veggie)
sesame noodles with rotisserie shredded chicken
mozz, pesto, tomato on foccacia
