Regardless, I agree with PPs that you should go to the GYN. But just because that's not the same space urine passes through doesn't mean that it couldn't be from leakage. It's just odd you wouldn't have noticed any incontinence otherwise.

New poster. That's probably what's going on with OP. I don't have incontinence but I do have a prolapse and it gets worse with hormonal change during my period. She is probably leaking drops that get absorbed through the string.

Yes I think this is it.

Yup, this happened to me before I stared using a menstrual cup. Check with your on to be sure but it’s likely no big deal.

Switch to a cup.

I get this as well. All my checkups have been fine and we did IVF so I’ve had pretty much every test imaginable and countless ultrasounds so I’d imagine if there was an issue causing it it would have been caught.

This happens to me if I pee and don't change the tampon. Every time you pee, you have to change it.

Are you 100% sure it's urine and not a different kind of fluid?

I have stress incontinence. And it's worse around my period. The PT I was seeing for it suggested wearing a tampon when exercising to see if it helped - and yes, I know that urine comes from a separate location, but apparently it can help "hold everything in." This has never happened to me, but I always change tampons when I pee (ie I take it out before I start peeing and insert a new one after I'm done peeing and wiping), so I'd suggest doing that and seeing if it is still odd looking even if you haven't peed. The other thing that comes to mind is a fistula, though I'm not sure why you'd be leaking urine only during your period and not other times, and I'd think you'd have other symptoms you'd be aware of.

Hmm. OP here. That’s scary! Yikes

I'm sorry, I don't mean to scare you. But after MIL going through 3 rounds of chemo at stage IVB, ignoring weird discharge for 2 years, just get uterus checked. But most likely it's ph balance or nothing at all. you're pretty young.

Thanks. I made an appointment w/ my doctor, although they didn’t have an opening until end of June.

Good. You will check and it will be fine. But I would not accept a pap smear only. MIL pap was negative and she was told it's nothing. But she pressed for MRI or whatever imaging, and it was IVB. In her 60s though, not 40s.

It is normal. The people scaring her with uterine cancer are complete nut jobs.

I have no idea! That’s why I’m asking DCUM

Tampons are absorbent. Sometimes they hang a little low and when you pee, the urine gets soaked upwards. Do people really not know this?!?

+100

And it will actually turn yellow. Looks and smells like urine=urine. It happens sometimes.

2019. I just made an appointment for June.

Do they have a patient portal where you can ask them a question? Just to ease your mind.

Hmm, I’ll try
