Dillution.

Metro, Loudoun and BRYc are not top.

Parents are fixing the dilution themselves.

Problem solved

THIS. I am soooo convinced of this now that DC is u19 and at the twilight of the youth soccer experience. We can't go a year without drama and BS. We've now seen this play out in three states since u11 travel and even back to u6 rec.

Just found out DC's team who earned promotion to EDP National League Premier 1 is being put down to local EDP! Zero explanation from the club thus far (asked and no answer yet). Not a good look for kids trying to finish out their u19 year and land a college offer. Certain showcases we went to last year as a National League Premier 2 team will be inaccessible as a local EDP squad... We re-signed with the club due to the good vibes of last season, earning promotion through good performance in the National League Premier 2, good coaching, etc.

Only one DA team was added and that is Arlington.

Dilution? The 3 local DA clubs are the clubs that were added to ECNL, hardly a dilution.

Apparently math is not your strength....

Bunch of whiners who have never created anything of value. Start your own league why don’t you. No one owes you a thing. Understand?

You bought into the system of an "elite league" that is no more elite because of dilution. If you want promo/reg then play EDP or NCSL. Probably most clubs don't want the promo/reg system since then it would actually show how well their teams are doing. And if they aren't doing well then less teams would come to them.

I don’t see why ECNL boys teams couldn’t be separate from girls teams too within a club. The league is already structured differently for boys and girls and not all the same clubs are played between the 2 genders.

Club v Club leagues do not work, period. There are less than 5 clubs across the US that can confidently field consistent top performing teams at every gender and age group. Pro/Rel is something that needs to happen in youth soccer, but that kind of accountability will shatter the money making plans these club have. The fact that a club actually names a team with the league name in it is gross, disgraceful and a joke. Leagues do not coach or develop players, win or lose games....leagues are simply organized schedulers. ECNL is so deep in bed with its member clubs, I can't see them relegating PDA....PDA runs the league, even though is laughable in that part of NJ.

Club wide Pro/Rel will absolutely hurt the quality of the game. There will be intense pressure to win games and with that you will get more big and fast and less skilled players.

Then why publish results?

Big/fast and skilled aren't independent of each other.

Indeed, give me a team full of Cristiano's and Zlatan's.

A contradiction in terms.

Good luck finding that in U13.

There’s none.
