This is absolutely true. And some of those "ugly buildings" that a PP mentioned have incredible vertical gardens on their roofs. Or at least, they used to.

UDC Law School and Antioch, which preceded it, has specialized in advocacy and hands on training. I have no idea if they are representative, but students and graduates that I’ve met have been smart, focused, and socially conscious people who wanted to make a difference in their communities— and did so. They’ve had meaningful careers, often focusing on social justice issues and providing legal services to individuals who — often desperately— needed them.

Have you actually been INSIDE the buildings? From what I’ve seen, the arts buildings and the student center are quite nice.

I am a Georgetown law graduate and know graduates of UDC's law school. Not sure what you meant by the bolded statement but it is probably based on misinformation or hearsay if your intention is to be negative.

It means precisely and literally what it states - I have never heard something good about the UDC law school.

Also, it is troubling, though not surprising, that a Georgetown Law grad could so thoroughly botch a reference to hearsay.

I think the architecture is quite nice for an urban college. I love the student center.

I do too. I live in neighboring Forest Hills DC and it is a lovely addition. I hope they can find more tenants for some of the vacant retail space.

Nothing wrong with the school. I got my finance degree from UDC, and now I'm in grad school for ECE. The school works fine for a student who received a good high school education (most international students like myself). It also seems to be great for professionals who needs a degree (easy to get into, fast, close and cheap).
There were several local kids who had decided to put in the effort despite having received lousy k-12 education. I don't my my own kid going there in 4 years as long as he has passion for his program.
Teachers can be a hit or a miss, but some of them were really good and I still remember them fondly. They reminded me of teachers in Europe with passion for their subject but seemed to know a little about everything.

Their law school used to be a private school named Antioch, if I recall properly. I knew a radical girl who attended that school. She wanted to be a public service lawyer. She was plenty intelligent. Sorry to hear it's not a great law school.
