We understand you may have questions about which of our providers will be joining One Medical as well as what switching to a membership-based practice means.
Because One Medical offers services and benefits that go beyond what insurance covers, there is an annual membership fee. This allows One Medical to provide an exceptional experience that simplifies the way patients get care. We have worked closely with One Medical to ensure that for our patients, the first year of membership will be discounted from $199 to $50.

I go to the office in North Bethesda n Exec Blvd but I think there are others around, too. I moved when my PPA doc retired with no notice to me, and then a huge hassle when I tried to make an appt once he had gone. I was never impressed with their office administration, but that experience was really bad. I would never pay more to deal with them!
I'm looking for a new practice as well. Who do you see at Johns Hopkins? How is the office, the practitioner etc.? Community Physicians always made me think it was some kind of extension of JH into underserved markets but I guess not if they have a North Bethesda office.

In fact I didn't panic because I figured I'd be shunted off to someone else. My doc's info still gave her address as the Fernwood location so I was curious about the relationship between Signature and Privia/PPA. I really like my doc and my spouse sees her too but I'm not sure we're going to pay $3500 to keep seeing her. WHich is a huge bummer because I felt like there was a relationship and she cared.

Or it’s really hard to practice as a primary care doctor these days under insurance regulations. No one goes into primary care for greed.
