Is your “all lives matter” sign still in your yard?

What's wrong with MLK?

The pendulum will swing back to the inclusionary politics of MLK and Gandhi.

Here's some MLK for you:

"First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of good will is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection"

"Perhaps the South, the nation and the world are in dire need of creative extremists. I had hoped that the white moderate would see this need. Perhaps I was too optimistic; perhaps I expected too much. I suppose I should have realized that few members of the oppressor race can understand the deep groans and passionate yearnings of the oppressed race, and still fewer have the vision to see that injustice must be rooted out by strong, persistent and determined action. I am thankful, however, that some of our white brothers in the South have grasped the meaning of this social revolution and committed themselves to it. "

Assuming it’s everywhere all the time is what discredits you.

majority schools have already been that way, they practice their white supremacy in a covert way.

Such binary biased assumptions. No wonder you can’t hold a conversation with anyone. You believe everyone is either a victim or an oppressor. Or is there a third group? The liberal white guilt group?

You either support white supremacy or you don’t. Turning a blind eye is supporting it.

BLM turned into a political movement last year. And we all want only one view and political movement taught in k-12 education, right?!?

How about no political movements?!?! Can we get back to basics? Especially, for my little ones. They are still trying to learn how to make friends and take turns. My older one reads the paper and can make up her own mind. The polarization in this country is too much! Is my family really alone in the middle? It feels that way.

Most people are hear and need to speak up or make a change. Schools years are too short for this BS.

Langley has become way too 'woke' for your average moderate suburbanite under this current HOS. Hopefully, they'll get back to a little more normal with the new HOS.

Is there any reason to think that will happen based on who the new HOS will be? Or the incoming head of the MS?

Too woke? What’s wrong with these people? Let’s get back to teaching the kids to support white supremacy.

Sheesh. That's a ludicrous allegation. Prove that Langley ever taught any kind of race-based supremacy. You people are so over the top.

I so agree with this statement. Schools should not be about indoctrination but education -- teaching children to love learning.

Keep your political views to yourself, teachers!
