I thought MSI and MoCo government were one in the same. Isn't MSI just the league sponsored and run by MoCo government?

The spectator rule is completely MSI rule.

The county allows a spectator per player.

MSI is only following MoCo’s mandate. Please do a little homework before bashing MSI, OP.

The mask and spectator mandate affects all clubs that plays in MoCo. We are at Potomac and we have to follow the exact same regulations when playing in MoCo fields especially at the Soccerplex. This is why the Bethesda tournament was played in Howard County.

If you play soccer in MoCo and don’t know this is a MoCo rule, then you have been living under a rock since COVID started.

Really unbelievable how dense some of you are. BTW, Soccerplex allows spectators now. Your info is outdated. Just completely 100% wrong. From Soccerplex website:

Outdoor COVID Rules

Formal Games:

Masks must be worn by all persons at all times, INCLUDING PLAYERS ON THE FIELD OF PLAY
No more than 50 people, including all players, coaches, and team staff may be on and/or around the field. (25 persons for half field rentals)
Only one spectator per player. Additional spectators including siblings are prohibited. Spectators must stay behind the spectator lines painted at least 10 feet from the sideline. Spectators must wear masks at all times.

Thank you. Its fine if MSI wants to add additional rules for spectstors, but don't try and say its a "moco" rule because its really not.

Completely wrong on the spectator rule. It was modified. You need to get out from under the rock.

And no, Bethesda was allowed 50 spectators and was going to have a waiver for more. It was the mask rule that moved it (coming from someone who knows an awful lot more than you do about it ...).

If you don’t like it, move to another club particularly in another county or in VA where no masks & spectators requirements. You can freely roam the sidelines and suck in fresh Spring air while yelling out directions to your kindergarten Rec kids.

Don’t be dense. It’s a MoCo rule. Baseball is not a contact sport. Look up the MoCo website and stop blaming MSI. You can learn a lot by visiting the MoCo website.

The spectator rule is the same, regardless if its soccer baseball, contact n noncontact or a highschool graduation.

You can learn alot by visiting the MoCo website.

No spectators is not a rule. Its now 50 spectators. They just dont want to allow or force it.

Baseball doesn't spread covid like soccer does.

Please show me a source that says it's spread by playing soccer.
