I want sometone who will start the process of deciding where marijuana can be smoked. People should not be able to light up any and everywhere. I want someone who will do something about the homeless setting up tents everywhere and making the area a junk yard. I want a major that will put full grocery stores in Wards 7 & 8. I want a mayor that will open rec centers on Sundays. Have many other items, but those are starts.
#1 - HANDLE ON CRIME!!!! Get tough!
So you can park your car in public space for $35/year but others can't take up the equivalent space with a tent? Cool.

Nonstarter given who the voters are right now. (Not young people passing through, but older African Americans.)

I worked in the Fenty administration. I absolutely believed he was corrupt. He made it seem like he was the great savior. Our great savior was Anthony Williams.
Williams and actually Vince Gray were great mayors. Fenty and Bowser horrid.
Agree with this.
We need someone new though. Id add dealing with homelessness/public camping/nuisances to the list of difficult issues to tackle, along with reopening schools and covid response. Also repurposing downtown as live/work spaces.

+1. Would love to see Rancine run! Not sure he’s interested though (and frankly, I don’t blame him).
I get the impression that Charles Allen eventually wants to run for mayor as well, not sure he wants to run against Bowser though.

Robert White is on education committee and is almost Nadeau like in his ability to create the illusion he's actually doing something.
Verdict? It's Bowser's job until she no longer wants it.
