The house is cute but I’m a little shocked by the idea that a 1-level house can be $500k now in Mt R.

Why shocked?
I think if you look, you will find few houses that size selling for that much. But, obviously prices are going up and this one is really cute. I’m not saying it’s not a good value - I like it! And the neighborhood is great. I also like that block.

Do folks like living here? Looks like a cute place.
Kicking myself for not buying this or another Mt. Rainier property back when we were looking for an investment property in 2018.
We bought our Mt Rainier house in 2018 and while it has appreciated a lot, I think it's comparable to Silver Spring, Brookland etc. Everywhere has gone up. You needed to buy that Mt Rainier house in 2010. Or better yet, 1999.
Eh. We bought in 2017 abs house has already appreciated ~100k.
I live in a less popular part of PG and my house has probably appreciated 200k. The entire county is reaching some frothy highs in terms of prices.
White people are coming to terms with the fact that they can't all live in Bethesda and North Arlington.
or, folks are realizing that parts of PG have been underpriced for some time
Same thing.
Not really.

What are you talking about? Only 17% of Mount Rainier are white non-hispanics.
