OP, no she's not selfish. She made a good decision for her. Her husband was flirting and so she decided to cut her losses while still young.

You on the other hand sound a bit nutty thinking that her child is still crying many years after the divorce and the divorce/not seeking therapy still bothers you even though it's not your child.

This. Kid sounds like he's got some issues and that has nothing to do with the divorce. Also sounds like dad's family is heavily favored here by the poster who made this.
