I serve a lot of traditional meat/starch/veg meals (pot roast with potatoes and veggies, roast chicken with some sort of rice or potato and salad etc). This way, DH and I can skip or go light on the starches, which we really do not need!

I also make Mexican food a lot- I do carnitas or shredded beef etc with all the fixings and everyone can make their own tacos, taco bowl or salad etc salad. Also makes for good leftovers.

I don’t do starch centric meals like pasta entrees or lasagna very often because DH and I try to eat lighter and it doesn’t translate well.

FWIW I like serving heartier meals because I find they snack less. If I serve something light they are hungry like again like an hour later!

Look up “cultural” dishes that can be made in large quantities. Pasta Bolognese, Harira, Feijoada, Chili, etc.
