Yeah, I’m not really seeing the issue here. If OP and her husband are vaccinated, why does it matter if her SIL isn’t? If SIL wants to take that risk, it’s on her.

My sister will not get vaccinated she is not coming anywhere near my family. Either she understands science or bye. No middle ground. She wants to be stupid fine, that is her right. Mine is to not expose my family to idiots.

Are you going to ask everyone you come in contact with if they are vaccinated? Teachers, coaches, tutors, wait staff, hairdressers, friends, librarians, etc? Where does this end and how far will you go with this stance?

While I wholeheartedly agree with the last few posters, I don’t want my young kids to suffer not having relationships with their cousins because of their mother’s stupidity. Family is family. I want this youngest generation of our family to have a good shot at forming bonds. I’ve given up all hope for me and SIL long ago- that’s not what this is about.

It is a bigger issue than the shot. It shows her SIL is an idiot and therefore why in the world would I want my family exposed to her nonsense. Clearly, she does not understand science and would be ok doing other dumb things.

We all have a right to spend time whether we spend time with people.

It's possible the SIL actually IS vaccinated, but doesn't want to tell OP because she can use it as an excuse to avoid OP.
