We just finished the holiday of Purim. Children dress as the good guys and the bad guys. No one of sane mind thinks that this principal is trying to enslave Jews. This is just so moronic and takes away from the real fight agains antisemitism, which is prevalent throughout academia, media, politics and entertainment every day.
Is it lonely for you these days with your "being rational" and "calm" and "assuming the best of others"?

So I was not aware of this recent imagery being used this way. But looks like it has received considerable news coverage... enough to think it is probably unwise for a black head of school to dress as a pharoh as a super hero, or at least issue a mea culpa now that he is aware. Has anyone told this man? Maybe he is legitimately as clueless as I was. And I consider myself a pretty woke Lib.

Month of Nisan (eg the Jewish calendar month in which Passover is situated) begins in a few days. I think poster was referring to that.
