Piers was an old windbag. Good riddance! Yay!
Yes, they used to be gossipy chums and she'd come into town and they'd meet up for a pint and dish about the who's who of Britain and the ins and outs of Hollywood. It doesn't appear that they dated at all. It wasn't that. It was that he enjoyed the flattery of her wanting to be in his company and he was a big shot. At the time, HE was a big deal. And suddenly, she got her in with Harry and ghosted Piers like yesterday's news. He got his feelings hurt, but in a monstrous way. His attitude wasn't sadness, it was "how dare you treat me like YOU aren't good enough for ME you big fraud!" So instead of moving on, he made it his mission to "expose" her, but it only made him look more and more petty.

And he continues to be angry that people call him out for his obsession instead of "siding" with him.
I'm so embarrassed for him after reading that. Well, half of it; I had to quit.
He is having a hissy fit because he is "ghosted"? Is he really that naïve? If she was dating Harry she would have had to be very low profile. She could not be talking to a taboloid editor. And yes, it was absolutely ok for her to reach out to him if she was in Hollywood for garnering publicity for herself and her TV show. Is Piers not aware how media and celebs boost each other careers?
He was butt hurt because he had the hots for her and she was not aware. Awwww....poor dough boy!! Then he started behaving exactly like her dad did...if I can't have you, I will rake you over the coals.
He sounds like an alt-right Incel who spends all his time on 4chan

I hate people like him. They use up so much energy.

He met her ONE TIME and she never returned his phone calls. He’s been a bitter, jealous, obsessed a-hole ever since. The amount of time he spends talking and tweeting about her borders on stalkerish psycho insanity. He seems to think about her every waking minute while she probably barely remembers the dinner.
I hadn't seen that weird psycho article someone posted above, where he was "ghosted" by her.
DOES HE THINK THEY WENT ON A DATE???? This is like the weirdest revelation. It all of a sudden it all makes sense why he hates her so much. I never knew they used to be "friends" but he thinks they were on a date, doesn't he?
He's acting like a spurned lover -- although I'm pretty sure he was married at the time. Even from his descriptions it sounds more like a friendly / professional meet-up when she happened to be in the same city. They met face to face for the first time, then she went off with friends. Then I guess he had some kind of expectations or feelings and has been running his mouth full of nastiness ever since. He seems obsessed and full of hatred. I wonder what his wife makes of it?
