Can try to lottery into Blair HS
you mean 4/10 Blair or 3/10 Northwood. That isn't what people with better options consider decent

Not what most people consider to be affordable housing prices. You are paying unreasonable housing prices for the school district which is no longer as top-notch as it used to be. The school district has made some terrible decisions over the last few years and you are no longer getting as good a school system as the housing prices should merit.

Annapolis High School pyramid is definitely worth a look for a diverse school that meets your other requirements. Unfortunately within the school there's definitely a lot of defacto segragation between the magnet/white/richer students and the more diverse/less affluent general ed students. I suspect that's true of nearly all "diverse" schools though.
We considered Annapolis previously and the lack of diversity is definitely what swayed us against it. I don’t think we would feel comfortable going from an almost 100% Black neighborhood to the opposite. Which sucks because there are some new builds that are even within our price range out there.
God I wish people on this board would actually know what they are talking about before posting.
Annapolis High School is 31.5% white! 26% black and 35% Hispanic.
I’d say it’s a whole lot more diverse than the vast majority of schools out there.
People think every town in Anne Arundel County is 97% white people walking around in KKK outfits. Annapolis, Severn, Crofton, Odenton, and Gambrills are all quite diverse to varying degrees and also quite Democrat.
