Nope. Best guess is the husband didn’t wash produce and/or his hands well enough after the grocery store. That’s the only place besides walking the dogs that we went in the 4 days prior, and he got it first.

Then, he got it at the grocery store. But, most people claim they aren't socializing and are.

For sure, and we do occasionally see family and friends outdoors. But the friends we saw in the days before those 4 days didn’t get sick (and it’s norovirus, everyone gets sick), so thinking it must have been the grocery store. Which is surprising since he wears masks well and (ahem usually) sanitizes as soon as he gets back to the car. Or could have been directly on the produce, since he ate raw fruit from that trip.

None. Get a covid test if you are taking them out. We aren't going out or socializing so different lifestyle.

A couple of stomach issues but very minor for my 5 year old.

My almost-2 year old has never had a fever in his life! What a weird year. Also, I'm a little worried about what will happen next year when he's out in the world having had no chance to build up any immunity so far.

2 or 3 colds. Negative Covid tests. Both back in daycare since June, where there are no masks for kids under 5 and seems like little separation (based on pictures). Despite that, it's fewer colds than typical. No Covid cases in daycare. Surprisingly, my husband and I didn't catch any of the colds from our kids.

Not one cold. Its been nice not having colds, along with spending time with my kids, not commuting, not being tired from commuting, not dealing with people in the office, not packing school lunches, having more time to help with homework, and not having to get up at the crack of dawn to avoid too much traffic. COVID-19 sucks, but there are a few positive outcomes.

5yo and 10mo have both been in daycare since last August. Our older DD had a runny nose for 2 days in October (negative PCR). Our infant had a bad cold with fever in September (negative rapid and PCR) and another, far less severe cold in January (negative PCR). Our older DD was sick on a monthly basis as an infant, so this has been a nice change.
We’ve received notification at daycare of a single positive flu case a few weeks ago, and there were 4 positive covid cases (all staff members who contracted it outside of daycare, with no confirmation of transmission at school) between June and December of last year. Clearly, the masking, separation, and constant cleaning is doing some good.

I'd say it is worth it for the mask wearing. I wish we could normalize that all the time and cut down on the transmissible viruses, that are mild but still annoying. And, my kids have been in school in person at a private, so not missing out on that either.

I worry a little bit about weakened immune systems, but that is a problem that will correct itself when need be.

It's worth it if avoiding colds means we don't have to guess at whether the illness is a cold or COVID and keep everyone home until test results are back. Some of us work and not having our young kids getting sick unexpectedly is a small blessing during this horrible time.

Avoiding a few colds during the year is not worth wearing masks in school or, worse yet, missing school for an entire year. People's priorities are so way off.
