Subject: S/O Family Vacations
I would have anxiety if I were expected to physically be present on every family vacation...of a family that wasn't even biologically mine lol. I skipped a family vacation organized by my actual mother (I had a work conflict).

this. Him going on vacation w/ parents is not the weirdest part of the predicament. The problem is it's HIS family but his girlfriend can't miss one trip? When they go on two a year? Insane.

Not normal at all. DH and I sometimes skip out of each other's family vacations because of limited vacation time or other things going on. No big deal.
I get about 9 weeks of vacation a year, DH gets 5 but very rarely can use all 5.

I don't think they are forcing her to go. I think it's the boyfriend pissy that she won't commit to attending.
