I'd still contend that the truly elite teams can have their own playground (and the "accepted" path to high-level collegiate, national, and professional team play). Everyone else can happily exist in an EDP-like league where promotion and relegation can run its course (at least here in VA). I think the there is enough competition in the area for most/all teams to have balanced matches every week without driving for hours. Leverage the tournaments to play teams out of the area.

It already is. I miss the FPYC parent that said all remaining clubs should enter EDP for this region
