Yes, so about half of families in this area have gotten what they wanted. Full time DL.
The other half? Just complainers, just whites who are out of step "demographically or politically".
Who in this area is getting full-time DL? I would be happier with that, but my FCPS kids have no instruction on Mondays and dramatically less instruction Tuesday through Friday than they did previously.
Well, we aren't THIS week b/c teachers have the last two days to prepare for concurrent, that is going to suck and dilute DL. Thanks RTS advocates!
I agree. Seems kind of selfish for parents to keep their kids home and try to dilute in-person for the rest of us.
...that's not a bad point. there are tons online options for parents who want to continue in DL for much longer. the rest of us need school buildings and in-person teachers. it seems like the people who want DL are taking resources from the rest of us. why take up a slot at a local school if they don't need to be AT the local school?

While chalkbeat is a useless, one-sided, poorly-written union blog, I’m not sure what you’re saying about USC. But anyway, chalkbeat is so transparent here. “A plurality want all DL! This is evidence that we should continue in DL! Are we supposed to ignore the fact that the majority would like some in-person?
How do you know the majority want in person? Based on DCUM? Yeah, that isn’t a good way to assess a majority.

DCUM is 99% rich white women posting so OF COURSE that's who is going to be vocal on this board. In real life, most of the people I know are fine with DL. They don't love it, it's not ideal, of course they'd like kids to be back in school, but most people I've talked to would prefer 5 days in school to 100% DL to hybrid in that order.
Weird. I have only met one parent who is fine with DL. No other parents and not even teachers. I doubt either of us know a representative sample.
