I stayed tall but got really skinny in my tween/teen years as I grew in height without gaining weight. I remember my learner's permit at 15 said I was 5'10" and 125 lbs. I did end up "filling out" and am more of a lean athletic build now than straight up skinny.
I remember going through an awkward phase but I think everyone does. It is not horrifying like short PP makes it out to be. My build helped me get a full athletic scholarship for college, and it's much easier to hide weight gain when you're tall. I would rather be 6'0" than 5'3" any day especially as I get older. Tall people are also viewed as more competent and leader-like in the workplace.

He is by far the biggest 1 year old I have ever seen. I just wonder if this will stay the course or he will slowly drop off the highest percentile. DH is 5’10” and I am 5’7” but we have tall family members.

Our almost two year old girl appears to be a giant! I hope it slows down for her. I’m 5’3 and my husband is 6’2. I would love for her to be taller than I am, but I’d prefer she isn’t overly tall!
Overly tall? Like 6’ (my height)?
Yes, the PP was talking about you.
Yes, I would imagine most women would prefer not to be 6’ tall.

Your kid is going to end up around 5'10" if a boy and 5'7" if a girl and this is especially accurate if you are somewhat similar in racial background
However, there is something to be said about the hybrid vigor theory where offspring of different races can potentially end up significantly greater than 1+1 = 2 but the opposite potential holds true as well
As background my sister is 5'5" and her husband is 6'2" but from different races and their son is 6'7" but hates sports lol...

Not even close! Mine was 99th percentile height and weight until 2. Dropped off at pretty significantly at 3 and a little more at 4. At almost 11, he is in the 45th percentile for height and 30th for weight. We are similar height to you and your DH. Height percentile as stayed the same since age 4. He was in a higher weight percentile and that dropped more slowly up through age 8.
