I used Drunk Elephant's marula oil for years, but then read that squalane may be better for acne prone skin. I made the switch this year and loved it!! I use it to lock in my moisturizer at night. Plus it's so much cheaper. I also use The Ordinary's argan oil for my hair when it's feeling dry.

I love Nuxe. Costco sells it once in a while.
Nuxe oil has a fairly strong fragrance, so may not be the best for sensitive skin.
I have also used the face oil from The body shop and liked it.

I started using Keihls midnight recovery and I think it irritated my rosacea and made that acne spread.

So, back to old fashioned cetaphil face cream.

Any suggestions?

I haven't found an oil that works well for my similar skin, PP. My holy grail is this cream from La Roche Posay: https://www.laroche-posay.us/face-and-body-skin-care/body-care/body-lotion/cicaplast-baume-b5-for-dry-skin-irritations-3606000437449.html which goes on over top this from The Ordinary: https://theordinary.deciem.com/product/rdn-azelaic-acid-suspension-10pct-30ml?ccvis=1

These really help with redness and irritation, and never make spots or rosacea worse. They are the only products I have found that make a difference and leave me hydrated without burning/stinging.

Interesting, The Ordinary is a brightener. I will try them... My mom has eczema and I bet she would like the La Roche.

I like face oils, but honestly have never noticed that they are all that different from each other, other than price and fragrance. I typically use either coconut oil (I know some people break out with this, but it's fine for me), jojoba oil, marula oil, or argan oil. I've even used olive and sweet almond, from my salad oil stash. They are all fine. And cheap! I think that this is one area where you can save money. Spend on your retinols, ceramides, acids, etc...

Late 40s, with bad rosacea and acne prone skin, both rosacea and regular acne. I tried le mer's concentrate - acne breakout within days.
