Wow this is way more information than I expected to get. I wish we could do this for every house.

I don’t blame you, and now she’s trying to make money off the disaster.

To be fair I don’t see how she’s trying to make money off the disaster. She’s probably just trying to break even after having done basement renovations that were then ruined and done again. I’m sure this house has been a money suck.

Yeah unlikely she had flood insurance, how horrible.

They will never manage to see this house. Their best bet would be to try to make a deal with the county. Maybe they could use the property.

That was fast. Maybe they saw this thread?

I think if they saw this thread, they'd definitely comment here.

Was it the flooding, the noise from the beer garden, the farmers market, all the traffic that will come with the new school? There are so many negatives (she would have been aware of many of them when she bought in 2018), I'd want to get out of there fast too!

It would make an amazing group home, with the beer garden and Italian store nearby.

Nobody young enough to live in a group house wants to live in Falls Church. The Westover Beer Garden is only attractive to mid-30s parents that have no other options and have retired from the Clarendon scene.

It's Arlington not Falls Church and there are plenty of group homes of 20 somethings in this neighborhood-2 on our street (not this street but close).

The owner giving a media interview with their full name about their epic house flooding was a huge blunder. The internet is forever and any potential buyer will certainly find it very easily.

We live nearby. My husband thinks someone will buy it to rent it out. We can’t imagine a family wants to live there, but maybe some young roommates - like teachers at the new school.
