cant she just say she was temporarily homeless or undocumented? I mean, sounds like DC wants to dispense with no brakes. You reap what you sow. FL is having the same issue, vaccine tourists.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Friend who lives in MD got it in DC bc she got her social work license there (doesn't practice in DC)
Well, at least that's not lying. But claiming you live somewhere you don't and then relying on them not to check is really shitty.
I'm not sure she had to claim to live in DC? Isn't the city vaccinating health care workers, teachers etc from other states? All she had to do was have her license. AGAIN, did they account for this in the dosage requests--or will residents who actually live here simply come last?
O/PP here. In the section as to her residence she (the MIL) entered her daughter's address. The social worker, on the other hand, sounds like she was following directions.
So the MIL lied. She could be held for felonious activity.

I agree it is starting to feel like DC residents are coming last in the vaccine musical chairs. Bowser keeps saying DC is vaccinating residents and workers. That is quite the commitment since the DC workforce triples the population every day. She has not explained how much extra vaccine has been requested to account for this triple demand, who is going to administer it to all these people, or why they don't get vaccinated in the their home state 15 minutes away. I understand the mad rush to get it to health care, emergency, DCPS, daycare and independent school teachers. After that, why are workers not getting it in their home state when their category comes up, which it will. How is DC to account for the extra demand AND vaccinate our own residents who are competing for slots?? Are we allowed to go to Va. Or MD.? I am getting really disheartened.
I posted in Family Relationships after learning about line jumpers who drove 1.5 hours in their state. This cross jurisdiction [local or state] should not be done because of the physical impacts of the 2nd vaccine. Through people who are 1 st responders or med pros and have received the 2nd shot. They are extremely physically fit by any standard except that of playing a pro sport as an adult or Army Ranger. All have said there is a wallop after the 2nd shot that can severely impact the ability to drive within 10 minutes.
The shots should have been given based on where people live. Undocumented can have children in school. Reside with those who have children. Cell phone bills.

You might feel differently if you had an 81 year old mom whom you haven’t been able to hug or touch in a most a year. People are getting to the front of the line who are not in public-facing roles, who are not elderly, and who are not at risk generally. I am literally stalking sites to sign up for my mom day after day with no luck. Yet hearing so many stories about people getting shots who shouldn’t be prioritized.
