In my experience, the first wife gets the student loan debt, the long hours raising the kids on her own while the husband build his career etc.
The second wife gets the guy who has no debt and has made partner.
Plenty of "debt": alimony and CS. Not to mention he has to pay another woman's kids' way through college.
