He could be charged for possession if he keeps it. The mere receipt is not a crime, otherwise anyone could cause someone to commit a crime without any action on their part. And I am not sure someone is guilty of producing child porn by "asking" for something. I asked my husband to make burgers for dinner. If he makes them, I have no produced burgers.

Sorry if this seems alarmist but my daughter's friend is a couple years older and was on the same path. Parents took away social media but it was not enough... has moved on to in person activities with many, many partners.

At 13 I am worried about her mental health too and just the general over sexuality


Take away the phone until she is 15. I am dead serious. She's a child.

The kids these days are into some very, very adult stuff beginning at 12-13. Scary.

The last time I took it away for more than a month
And the only way I could even hold her back is beg them to take a few months break to think it over
So when the three months was close I spoke to her about how it would be better to not just date til she got older
And that backfired and they started talking behind my back and now this

She said they would not be talking inappropriately if I allowed them to speak openly
Should I fall for this? and let them talk in front of us?



I absolutely think that forbidding an adolescent from seeing somebody can backfire and they will want to rebel even more. But they’re not going to stop fooling around if you let them spend time in front of you. So since you already made the rule, I would say don’t budge.
